We caught up with her to dive into her journey, inspirations, and the magic that happens when image and imagination collide.

Here are some of her answers from interviewing her:

1. Can you please describe a brief background about yourself?

Ten years ago, I began my modeling and acting career at the age of 59. It actually all happened unexpectedly.

To say it was way beyond my comfort zone is an understatement.

It is the most extreme and interesting career change.

2. Can you please list an overview of your work and achievements?

As a mature model, I have walked the runway, printed work in magazines, catalogues, fashion blogs, and commercials.

As an actor, I started out doing background work and then expanded myself into short films, featured films, corporate videos, music videos, commercials, and a T.V. series.

During the slow months in the wintertime, I give back by volunteering my time acting in film student's projects.

3. What inspired you to become a model & actress?

The honest truth is that I had no desire or interest in being a model or an actor.

I was bedridden 11 years ago and fell into a depression. I felt my life was over. I was very ill.

My children encouraged me to explore different aspects of myself, you know, a need for self recovery.

This is where my curiosity in the modeling industry began, which later led to the acting industry.

Over the years, I've realized that this is a great opportunity for me to make a difference, as well as to promote positive messages as a woman in her late 60s.

4. Did you have early influences or mentors in becoming an actress/model?

I was 11 years old, and I saw the British model named Twiggy. I loved her fashion style. I remember cutting my own hair to look like her.. lol.

Audrey Hepburn...period.

5. Are there specific subjects or themes you gravitate towards? Why?

When modeling, I love outdoor and urban themes.

They make very interesting backgrounds. For example, industrial areas, a field, the woods, or near a river or waterfalls.

The whole city is your backdrop in urban photography, from the subway, a laundromat, or a local basketball court. With the right lighting and angles, these scenes can be transformed into extraordinary settings.

Now, with acting, I love comedy. I love to laugh. I may appear quiet on the outside, but I'm a total goofball on the inside.

6. What are some of the biggest challenges you face as a model/actress?

My biggest challenge is that I lose out on many gigs because I look younger than my age, and I don't have grey hair. Funny, isn't it..

There is a strong demand for mature models, known as classic models. Who knows, maybe one day I may become naturally silver.

In the world of acting.. There's no denying that the largest movie going population is the 18-30 year old. So, of course, they want to see the younger actors on the screen. This is what sells at the box office. That's a reality.

Another challenge I live with on a daily basis is chronic autoimmune and neurological disorders.

I prioritize my health by leading a very healthy lifestyle, engaging in regular physical activity, and treating my body as a sacred entity. I also place great emphasis on my mental and spiritual well-being and make a conscious effort to nourish them daily with positive thinking, love, kindness, and empathy.

My day begins with gratitude for the amazing things I already have in my life.

7. What tools do you currently use, and why?

There are so many I use. I'll mention a few of the tools I use.

Makeup, hair, and wardrobe enhance my appearance as well as create a specific look for a shoot or a role. I do become a different person. It allows me to use the creative side of me. It's like playing dress up or role-playing.

Props and sets are important as well. Think about how cool you're going to flop down on the couch..

Energy rules. I try to let my energy fill a whole room. This is specifically important in acting.

Over the years, I've studied The Meisner Technique with Robert Bellissimo, which focuses on developing all aspects of human expression, both internal and external.

Robert's course has truly helped me to step outside my comfort zone.

I am beyond grateful.

8. Have you eve been involved in an event as an artist? If so, what was the experience like?

I was asked to talk to an audience of young and upcoming models and actors about it's never too late to follow your dreams or passion in life.

It was a deeply and enriching experience of personal growth and self- discovery.

9. What advice would you give to aspiring actresses/models looking to make a career out of it?

Do your research about the industry first. Know what you're getting into.

Take acting classes and community theatre. Practice on your walking and posing by watching YouTube videos or taking a modeling class. Beware of scams!

Be a background actor. You learn a lot about what it takes to make a commercial or movie.

Do student films.

Networking.

Build your portfolio/reel.

Professional head shots.

Resume.

Have a backup plan or another way of earning money while you are studying/auditioning.

Get an agent to represent you. Do your research.

Learn to handle rejection.

Act and model because you love it because it's the only path you can imagine following. No other reason should make you want to pursue it.

Have fun!

10. Can you share a quote or mantra that inspires you in you work?

I trust my journey.
