Photoshoot & Style Guide
What to expect from a session.
Welcome to Monika Tiedtke Photography. We're thrilled to work with you to capture your special moments, and we're committed to providing high-quality images that exceed your expectations. To ensure we deliver the best possible results, we've created this style guide to outline our creative vision, technical requirements, and client expectations.
Style and Aesthetic
Color Palette:
Our standard color palette is usually beige and white. However, we're happy to work with you to incorporate specific color schemes or brands if needed.
Lighting:
We prefer natural light whenever possible. If artificial lighting is necessary, we'll use a Neewer Vision 4 Studio Flash Strobe cordless light.
Composition:
We aim for clean, simple, and uncluttered compositions that focus on the subject. We'll avoid distracting elements and prioritize negative space when possible.
Client Expectations
Communication:
We value open communication throughout the shoot. Feel free to share your ideas, concerns, or preferences with us at any time.
Timeline:
We'll work together to create a shot list and timeline before the shoot. Please allow one hour for the shoot, including setup and wrap-up.
Location:
We'll scout locations in advance to ensure they meet our standards. I usually book with a studio in Binbrook, Ont.
Contract:
Before the session starts, it is important to go over details. I've prepared a simple contract that outlines the scope of work, payment terms, and our agreement on how we'll work together.
Submission and delivery:
Turnaround time: We aim to deliver edited images within 3 weeks after the shoot.
Delivery Method: You will be notified by email with a link to an online gallery.
Image Selection:
We'll provide a selection of edited images from the shoot. If you'd like additional images or have specific requests, please let us know.
Additional Tips:
Hair & Makeup:
Please arrive at the shoot location with your hair and makeup complete. If you require assistance, please let us know in advance. I always have a list of makeup artists in the area.
Clothing:
Wear comfortable clothing that's suitable for the shoot. Avoid bold patterns or bright colors that might be distract from the subject. If you need references for designers, I always have a contact list.
Props:
Please limit props to essential items only. We'll handle any additional props needed.
Revision History:
This style guide is subject to change as our studio evolves. We'll maintain a record of all revisions and update clients accordingly.
By working together and following these guidelines, we're confident that we can create stunning images that exceed your expectations. Thank you for choosing me as your photographer.
